Do you have any fun update for 2009 Song Kran Holiday in Thailand.
April11th to 15th, 2009.

Have you plan your trip for water festival.

I do not know about the water festivals but I am traveling to Thailand next month and am very excited? I found this forum today and hope to meet new people from Thailand. I am going by myself to Thailand and maybe I will meet a special lady while I am there Smiley

I you want to try teenager style please go to Khao San rd. area.
If you want to try Thai Traditional style please go to Chiang Mai.

I missed Songkran for last two years, so I'm really looking for it. I will be in Chiang Mai during that time with friends and I'm sure that it will be as fun as before. Chech out more about Songkran in Chiang mai here.

Yes, ive been able to witness this thai tradition very exciting and fantastic. Especially seeing people throwing water and i think this was originated as a way to pay respect to people.

I went to Song Kran last year.  It was AMAZING.  So much fun, and I had the opportunity to take tons of beautiful photos.

Songkran (Song Kran) is an important holiday for Thai people, the large majority of whom are practicing Buddhists. It is a time to reunite with their families, make merits in temples, visit and show their respect to older folks and perhaps above all, it is a time to get soaked up and cooled down in the Songkran ‘Water Fight’ that takes place on just about every street in this country during this hottest month of the year.
