Does anyone have a funny International Travel Experience.. Let's hear something crazy, wacky, weird, or just plain funny that happened as an International Travel Experience.

Hi there,

I was detained at the airport security counter on my way to Tibet. They scanned my handbag 10 times and then dumped it all out. I speak Chinese, and I kept asking them what the problem was, but all they replied with was, "Oh, there's a problem, alright." They searched me (extreme pat-down) three times. They started asking me questions like why was I "really" going to Tibet. Finally, the x-ray lady holds up my point and shoot camera (which was in my handbag) and points to the little metal attachment between the camera and the wrist strap. I never noticed before, but it's shaped exactly like a bullet and that's what they thought they had seen in the x-ray!

I have just been enjoying fellow Australian Peter S's often humorous Venice report and , along the lines of most memorable travel experiences, I wonder what have been the most funny travel experiences other Fodorites have had. One of the funniest incidents among many of them I have had occurred in Florence. This really happened to me.
