Thailand best time to go ?

My friend is teaching classes at a university in Thailand, and he told me to go there is November.  We weren't able to get our passports in time, so we are rescheduling our trip for next fall.  The summers are really humid, so avoid that time of year if are able to before booking a trip to Thailand.
