Install Error J1.5.

I have an install error message as follows;
Fatal error: Call to a member function setQuery() on a non-object in
/home/MYDOMAIN/public_html/MYSUBDOMAINFOLDER/administrator/components/
com_mlinkexchange/install.mlinkexchange.php on line 6

I have Joomla 1.5.9, and Rocketthemes Versatlity 4 template installed.
My Database prefix is not jos_, but I see that you use #_ properly, but you
use $database in your queries and I understand that J1.5 has changed the way
to access the $database Global. Can this be the problem?

After the error I go back to the backend admin I see that the component is intalled.
I modified the settings to my needs and created a menu item. I previewed my site
and selected the menu item and I saw the component with a link at the botton
to the forums, but I didn't see the input boxes to add a new link. or a link at
the bottom that would take me to a page were I can submit a link.

can you help? Thanks alex099.

pls. uninstall first and reinstall again or test it on Joomla < 1.5.9
