I have been searching for a while for something like this that is based on the Joomla user tables. The contact list in joomla it self is pretty basic and still requires the creator to add each new contact (instead of using/importing from jos_users). I have tried StaffMaster ThinkeryWF and SOBI2.

I have also tried Community Builder and it does allow for custom fields & lists - I cant figure a way to show the lists via a menu list (J1.5 allows that , but not J1.0) - The site that I'm using is still a joomla version 1.0 as many of the components are not migratable (newer versions not available or no longer being developed)

Simplest form would be a table view separating departments with name, phone and email listings that would reflect only approved users in joomla..and to be able to set different departments to separate teams etc. - as mentioned J1.5 can do this but not 1.0 as far as I can see...

Any other suggestions would be appreciated as I don't have the coding skills to create a complete component.
