Before giving you an answer to your gnawing question, I would like to stress that while there will certainly be a great impact to Phi Phi Island, this can be compensated by the improved living conditions that can be had when development on tourism industry will be undertaken. At any rate it would make the people feel proud of the place rather just wander around and let the locals abuse the resources that can be taken from the area. conventional farming are given a huge chance to rise above their level after ecotourism took a leap to the next level.
